Celestial Teapot?
When religious people ask, “what’s wrong with believing in God, since you cannot disprove it,” atheists often respond with the celestial teapot analogy: We cannot disprove the existence of a celestial teapot at the other end of the galaxy, but it would be absurd to believe in it.
But then again, why not believe in the celestial teapot? It seems as good a belief as any other religious one. It’s amazing no one has taken the atheists up on this suggestion. Am I the only one who gets a kind of warm fuzzy feeling imagining a giant teapot floating around in space?
