Will green tea get rid of red inflammation after waxing?
I recently used a home wax in my bikini area. NOT FUN!! The area is red and a little bumpy and irritated but it ahs only been about 14 hours. I was wondering if dirnking green tea would help reduce the inflammation because of the antioxidants. Also is it safe to go swimming in a chlorine pool about 34 hours after waxing down there?
Yes green tea can help.
There are other things you can do to help:
Apply a cold compress for 10 minutes
Tea tree oil will reduce inflammation – be careful though because it will sting VERY badly for a minute or two after it is applied and the area will go quite red for about 10-20 minutes but then there will be a dramatic improvement in the inflammation and it will return to a normal skin colour.
It is safe to go swimming, but it might help if you apply a thick mosturizer to the area half an hour before to ensure there is no irratation.
