Teas that use small pearl-like balls for teapots?
What tea company uses small pearl-like balls for teapots. My teapot use a ceramic strainer that can only use this type of tea. I received the teapot and tea as a gift from Las Vegas. I checked the gift forum on my recent trip to Vegas, but had no luck. Can anyone tell me what type of tea this is? Thank you!
I think you are referring to jasmine pearls or green pearls or dragon pearl green tea. These are hand rolled leaves that unfurl in your cup.
An example would be Jasmine Pearls from Infusions of Tea.
The strainer that comes with your pot probably has holes that are too large to strain smaller sized leaves. This is a common problem that you can circumvent with a disposable or reusable tea filter. Most tea shops offer these as accessories. You can use these and still serve the tea in your nice tea pot. Your guests will not know the difference and you will be able to serve a much larger variety of tea.
